Khevsureti - Tusheti 5 Days Hiking Tour

On the way to Shatili, we’ll visit Jvari monastery. 

After visiting Jvari Mnastery we'll head to Jinvali water reservuar and follow the Aragvi river up towards Datvijvari pass (2600m above sea level). 
After arrival we'll have a late lunch in Shatili - a typical Khevsuretian fortified village 

Optional: we can organize rafting in Phshavi region before we get to Datvijvari pass. 

In the morning we’ll start by car that takes us to Mutso – a medival village that has been recently renovated. Near Mutso we’ll start hiking alongside the river and follow it via the village of Khonischala. At the end of the day hike, we’ll get at Khidotani campsite - campsite on beautiful alpine meadow at 2600m above sea level.

In the morning we’ll start ascending towards the pass via alpine meadows and rhododendron fields.

After the pass (3500m) we’ll descend to Tusheti and camp at Kvakhidi campsite.

The most relaxing easy light hike down alongside the river to the village of Girevi. Overnight in Baso aat the local guesthouse.

• Difficulty: difficult (long distance, light downhill)

After a relaxing morning we’ll start hiking to explore the villages of the valley – Farsma, Dano, Kvavlo and Dartlo. We’ll start hiking on the dirt road down to Chesho, where we take a footpath towards Dano and explore the rest of the villages. We’ll stay overnight in Dartlo, at the local guesthouse

Hiking difficulty: easy (mostly dirt road)

From Dartlo we’ll be transferred to Ghele Pass, where we start hiking on the watershed ridge between Pirikiti and Gometsari valleys called Makratela ridge. The hike is the most panoramic overlooking the villages on both valleys and mountains.

After 7km hike we’ll start descending towards village Dochu, where our driver picks us up and takes us to Omalo.

Before we arrive to the hotel we’ll visit Keselo Towers and the Visitors’ Centre exhibition area.
