Mountain climbing in Caucasus – Georgia
It’s not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves!
Few people are interested in the magnificent peaks of the Greater Caucasus Mountains in Georgia, which means they are completely undiscovered.Gerorgia has perfect location for Summer Mountaineering in the Greater Caucasus. There are few peaks above 5,000 meters and several above 4000 meters.
Our mountaineering expeditions involve trekking on remote trails in variable conditions for up to eight to twelve hours a day. They include travel on snow and ice requiring the use of mountaineering boots, crampons and an ice axe. You will spend a reasonable portion of the trip at altitude (with some days in excess of 5000m) and normally have several camps on glaciers. Also you will need an excellent level of fitness and be completely comfortable in adverse weather conditions in remote areas.
Our mountain climbing tours are professionally supported and provide the highest level of service to provide you with the best chance to succeed on this climb. An expedition to the peak on some of the routes represents in many ways the culmination of a climber’s even if they are armature climbers.
