Khevi, Arkhoti, and Khevsureti are three valleys nestled within the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region of Georgia. Despite their proximity to Tbilisi, these valleys remain uncrowded and off the beaten path, offering an authentic and unspoiled experience. Among them, Arkhoti valley stands out as a hidden gem, relatively unknown and untouched by tourism.
To truly discover the essence of Arkhoti valley, one must venture beyond its villages and ascend its ridges, which offer breathtaking views from passes over 3000 meters high. This remote corner of Khevsureti, once linked with Ingush villages, holds a rich history of bravery, honor, and unparalleled hospitality that continues to captivate visitors.
While recent road construction has made the region more accessible, it retains its exotic charm, with Akhieli village being a standout destination. Immerse yourself in the untouched beauty and warm hospitality of these valleys for a truly unforgettable experience in Georgia.

The day of diverse nature wonders. At the beginning we start by 4x4 car up to Gergeti St Trinity church, visit the church and start trekking in direction of Gergeti glacier on the way to Mount Kazbek. If we have time (depending on our pace) we cross the small fast flowing mountain stream running through the alpine meadows and go up to the glacier. Than turn back and start descent to the village of Arsha. and ride towards the village of Garbani. Overnight at the local guest house.
One of the least known trekking route in Georgia. There’s very low chance to see any trekkers on the way. But still, one of the most amazing valley and pass at 2825m above sea level, descend down to Roshka valley amongst the nature monuments of Khevsureti – a great number of erratic (‘wandering’) blocks create spectacular landscapes. Two huge diabase (also known as dolerite) blocks are among the greatest erratic blocks in the world.
An easy day hike to the magical, mysterious place, home of Khevsuretian Gods, with a view to a spectacular Chiukhi Mountain, The Abudelauri lakes are situated in far north of the eastern part of Caucasus Mountains at an altitude of 2500m in alpine zones at the foot of the Chiukhi Massif. Overnight at the local guesthouse in Roshka.
From Roshka we’ll be transferred to Gudani (1800m) by car, where we start ascending on Gudani ridge up to 3000m and then descend to Kistani, vhere we get picked up by our car and transferred to the village of Shatili - a historic highland village/fortress located in the deep Arghuni gorge at 1460m above sea level near the border with Ingushetia. The village is actually a unique complex of medieval-to-early modern fortresses and fortified dwellings of stone and mortar, which functioned both as a residential area and as a fortress guarding the north-eastern outskirts of the country. The fortress consists of the terraced structures dominated by flat-roofed dwellings and some 60 towers which cluster together to create a single chain of fortifications.
After exploring the village we proceed to Tbilisi. On the way we’ll have lunch at rafting centre. Overnight in Tbilisi.
