Alvani and Pankisi valley are located in Kakheti, Akhmeta district, populated by the two most interesting ethnic-groups - Tush and Kist people, that makes this trip double more interesting because of their cuisine and traditions.
We’ll start from Tbilisi at 9:00am. Around 11 we’ll be in Alvani where we mount our horses and head towards Maghraani via fields and vineyards. From Maghraani we’ll head into the dense forest to get to the Maghraani fortress. After Lunch picnic at the fortress we’ll descend to one of the village of Pankisi valley – Zemo Khalatsani. After getting at the river we’ll continue alongside the river and forest until we reach the guesthouse at the village of Jokolo

After early breakfast, we’ll start riding to Tbatana – a summer pasture for Tush and Kist people with amazing views on Pankisi valley. After picnic lunch we continue descending to Jokolo via Tolosha river valley. In Jokolo we say goodbye to our horses and drive to Tbilisi.
