Explore the Greater Caucus Mountains on a five days tour to Svaneti – the region of highest peaks in the Caucasus, that offers a wide range of outdoor activities not only in summer but also in winters. In our 3 days snowshoeing activity, guests can experience powder snow for more excitement and fun on the hills of the Greater Caucasus mountains. Magical colors of winter with unspoiled landscapes and snow-capped Caucasus mountains surround to create a special atmosphere for an unforgettable trip. We provide a fully guided snowshoeing tour in the surroundings of Mestia and Ushguli to explore the tranquillity and serene beauty of winter hiking adventures through the untouched snow.
Day 1: Tbilisi - Mestia
We take a morning train to Zugdidi, where we'll be picked up by our Svan drive and transferred to Mestia.
Day 2: Mestia – ushguli – Mestia
Our local guide drives us to Ushguli - the UNESCO world heritage site at an altitude of 2200m above sea level. We'll hike up to the mount Laghnuaril au to 3000m where we overlook the Shkhara valley with the view of Shkhara glacier and Bezengi wall.
In the evening we'll return back to Mestia

Day 3: Mestia – Mulakhi – Mestia
During the day we'll hike from Mestia to Mulakhi community. After 5 hours hike, we'll arrive to the village of Majvdieri. Return back to Mestia by 4x4 car

Day 4: Mestia – Jvari – Mestia
The 4 hours ascent to the Jvari(cross) viewpoint above Mestia and the same way descent.
