Khevi, Arkhoti and Khevsureti are valleys in Mtskheta-Mtianeti region. These valleys are closest to Tbilisi but still have some valleys totally uncrowded and not touristy. Especially Arkhoti valley, considered to be one of the most unspoilt, unknown new destination In Georgia. If you want to discover its mountains and its soul you should visit not only villages of Arkhoti valley but first should overlook from its ridges 3000+ passes. This part of Khevsureti is located in the North Caucasus, once connected to Ingush villages local Georgians were symbol of bravery, honor and unique hospitality which still amazes me. Road construction has almost finished recently but it has the most exotic villages of Georgia, the best of which is Akhieli
Day 1: Arrival in Tbilisi
Late start of Tbilisi and Mtskheta tour. Welcome dinner at the traditional restaurant with folk-dances.
Day 2: Tbilisi – Ananuri – Khada valley – Gudauri – Stepantsminda
On the way to Stepantsminda we’ll visit Ananuri Fortress (XIV-XVIIcc), proceed to Khada valley, have picnic lunch before we start easy hike to Gudauri – one of the ski resorts of Georgia. After 3 hours easy hike we take a car and head to Stephantsminda. Overnight at the local guesthouse in Stepantsminda.

The day of diverse nature wonders. At the beginning we start by 4x4 car up to Gergeti St Trinity church, visit the church and start trekking in direction of Gergeti glacier on the way to Mount Kazbek. If we have time (depending on our pace) we cross the small fast flowing mountain stream running through the alpine meadows and go up to the glacier. Than turn back and start descent to the village of Arsha. The driver picks us up and drives to back to the guest house in Stephantsminda.
Day 4: Juta – Sadzele pass - Roshka
One of the least known trekking route in Georgia. There’s very low chance to see any trekkers on the way. But still, one of the most amazing valley and pass at 2825m above sea level, descend down to Roshka valley amongst the nature monuments of Khevsureti – a great number of erratic (‘wandering’) blocks create spectacular landscapes. Two huge diabase (also known as dolerite) blocks are among the greatest erratic blocks in the world.
Day 5: Roshka – Abudelauri lakes - Roshka
An easy day hike to the magical, mysterious place, home of Khevsuretian Gods, with a view to a spectacular Chiukhi Mountain, The Abudelauri lakes are situated in far north of the eastern part of Caucasus Mountains at an altitude of 2500m in alpine zones at the foot of the Chiukhi Massif. Day 6: Roshka – Gudani – ridge walk behind Gudani – Datvijvari pass – Shatili
From Roshka we’ll be transferred to Gudani (1800m) by car, where we start ascending on Gudani ridge up to 3000m and then descend to Kistani, vhere we get picked up by our car and transferred to the village of Shatili - a historic highland village/fortress located in the deep Arghuni gorge at 1460m above sea level near the border with Ingushetia. The village is actually a unique complex of medieval-to-early modern fortresses and fortified dwellings of stone and mortar, which functioned both as a residential area and as a fortress guarding the north-eastern outskirts of the country. The fortress consists of the terraced structures dominated by flat-roofed dwellings and some 60 towers which cluster together to create a single chain of fortifications.
